Skills Library eLearning modules
Nexefy - eLearning modules for Go1
Skills Library modules were the majority of the courses I worked on at Nexefy. These courses were apparently favourites among the users of the Go1 course library. The learning followed a narrative, and the team used a cast of characters to make the stories, and therefore the learning, more engaging.
The problem
Nexefy was tasked with creating a suite of Skills Library courses for Go1. The courses handled a range of soft skills techniques or hot-button topics for working professionals. They varied in length, but always began with a 1-2 minute video at the start. Each course took about 8 weeks from concept to completion, and were touched by learning designers, visual designers, animators and developers as they evolved to the final product.
The solution
As a visual designer on the team, I had significant input to the video creation, as well as the course design. It was my job to take the script that the learning designer wrote for the video and create storyboards, which I then developed further into vector video frames so the animators could create the video. After I passed the illustrations off to the animators, then it was time to turn the written course material from the learning designer and turn it into UI designs in Figma so that the developers could create the actual course from that design.
